Learning about color is another great building block in the visual arts. A color wheel, for instance, provides artists with information on what colors to mix in order to vary or make a given hue (e.g. mix primaries to make secondaries), reduce saturation and choose harmonious color schemes. We make color wheels in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade as practice and reference. Here are some beautiful examples.
